Total values are calculated from the most recent recorded values of all cards in the set. Cards which have no recent value are simply omitted. Actually sale price of a complete set can vary quite a bit, being somewhat lower for newer sets and higher for older or rarer sets. Values are calculated this way because significant sale data for many of these sets does not exist.
